Further to our previous correspondence in November, we have now received confirmation Lyttelton Port bookings open from 20 Feb for deliveries commencing from 27 Feb 2018 will incur a VBS fee of $10 per container.
VBS is the first of a number of initiatives being introduce during 2018/19, all of which are designed to improve the information management and operational efficiency of containers moving through the port.
The new system also comes with charges being proposed for late and failed bookings of:

• $20 per transactions for late arrival, and
• $50 per transaction for a no show

Unfortunately, these charges will be passed onto clients where lateness or no show penalty fees are imposed that are caused by a delay at the clients site
