Force Majeure Action

Given the recent attacks on vessels in the Red Sea / Suez Canal area, shipping lines have started taking actions to either avoid these areas or significantly ramp up their security measures within the region. As always, these measures result in delays, congestion, and increased costs.

The majority of ocean carriers are applying emergency surcharges, which are being applied with immediate effect.

As a result, we expect to see cargo originating from the northern hemisphere areas of Europe, UK and the Mediterranean being affected.

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide regular bulletins, as well as contacting those customers who are likely to be directly affected.
