 Last Update  MONDAY 10/10/2016 – Clean up and recovery operations continue for much of the South East this morning.

While the terminals begin to reopen with the exception of Savannah the surrounding cities in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia (Hampton Roads area), are still being effected by localized flooding, road closures, and power outages. Truck deliveries in some areas are to be expected to be delayed throughout the next 24-48 hours.

SAVANNAH – PORT CLOSED TUE AM 10/11 OPENING

The latest on the port of Savannah is not terminal readiness, but the Aids to Navigation for pilotage.

The Master pilot for the port of Savannah have now stated that too many of the necessary aids to navigation are missing or out of position. This will take a little longer to remedy.  As of now the Savannah pilots will not offer pilotage until PM on Tuesday the 11^th  at the very earliest. This time frame could be extended depending on the available assets the USCG can provide to re-position and re-place the Navigation aids.

 CHARLESTON – PORT OPEN

The South Carolina Ports Authority will resume vessel operations and normal hours at all facilities on Monday, October 10, including container gate services at the Wando Welch and North Charleston Terminals at 6AM. 

Motor carriers should of course observe traffic and road conditions.

NORFOLK

Port is open. Pilots can begin sailing ships as of 9am. Please note that Sector Hampton Roads officially reopened VA Ports and all Cape Henry approach channels at 0900-10^th.

 WILMINGTON

The Ports of Wilmington and Morehead City will return to a normal operating schedule on Monday, October 10, 2016. 

Please be advised that both ports remain at Condition Zulu and are closed to inbound vessels.
